Moringa powder is derived from the leaves of Moringa oleifera, a small tree native to the Himalayan mountains. Sometimes referred to as ‘the miracle tree’ or “ the Drumstick Tree’, virtually all parts of the moringa plant can be used for either industrial, medicinal, or nutritional purposes, including its seeds, roots, bark, flowers, and leaves.

There are over 90 nutrients, more than 45 antioxidants, and more than 30 anti-inflammatory compounds contained in the moringa tree. It has-

15 X the potassium of bananas
25 X more iron than spinach
4 X more vitamin A than carrots

Moringa leaves are also rich in many important nutrients, including protein, riboflavin, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and iron. It also contains more Zeatin than any other plant source. Zeatin may have anti-aging effects due to its ability to regulate cell division whilst delaying cell aging.

Our organic Moringa leaf powder is sourced from Northern India where it is thought to have been used in traditional medicine for over 5000 years. The leaves are harvested, shade dried and then hand ground to produce Moringa powder of the highest quality and nutritional content.
To keep the nutritional value of our Moringa as high as possible, the farm we purchase from only harvests in small batches which is why we are sometimes sold out. Stock is usually replenished every 2 months.

Moringa Benefits

Antioxidant- Moringa is rich in various antioxidants, including quercetin and chlorogenic acid. One study in women found that taking 1.5 teaspoons of moringa leaf powder every day for 3 months significantly increased blood antioxidant levels. Source

Blood Sugar- May help lower blood sugar. The same study as above showed that taking 1.5 teaspoons of moringa leaf powder every day for 3 months reduced fasting blood sugar levels by 13.5%. Another small study in 6 people with diabetes found that adding 50 grams of moringa leaf powder to food reduced the rise in blood sugar by 21% Source

 Cholesterol- May help lower cholesterol. Moringa may reduce inflammation and both animal and human-based studies have shown that it may also have a similar effect on lowering cholesterol. Source

Recommended Dosage

Recommended daily dose is 1 teaspoon, twice per day.

Add 1 teaspoon of Moringa powder to food or drink twice per day.
